MIRCal - Medical Information Reporting for California

In accordance with Executive Order S-13-09 the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development will be closed three Fridays per month starting July 10, 2009 and ending June 30, 2010. For a complete list of scheduled closures click here.

OSHPD's secure internet data collection system for inpatient discharges, emergency department encounters, and ambulatory surgery encounters. The MIRCal online system was developed in response to SB 1973 (Chapter 735, 1998) for required reporting of patient data.

Current MIRCal Availability:
Open for data submissions for the following Report Periods:
Ambulatory Surgery: October 1 – December 31, 2009 Due: February 14, 2010
Emergency Department: October 1 – December 31, 2009 Due: February 14, 2010
Inpatient: July 1 – December 31, 2009 Due: March 31, 2010

Open for early manual record entry for the following Report Periods:
Ambulatory Surgery: January 1 – March 31, 2010  
Emergency Department: January 1 – March 31, 2010  
Inpatient: January 1 – June 30, 2010
