Note that Page 5 of the application "Certification of Practice Setting" is the exception. This page, when printed out, is to be completed, signed and dated by your direct supervisor or administrative officer at your practice setting.

Who may apply?

Loan repayment awards are available to physicians who hold a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in California OR physicians who have applied for a license to practice medicine in California with the appropriate medical board at the time of submitting the OCPSPLRP application.

An applicant will be eligible to receive funds as long as he/she receives their license in advance of the announcement. Further, the applicant must have been or is in the process of being certified by a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties in a pediatric sub-specialty.

An awardee may receive up to $125,000 to repay educational debt. Each awardee commits to a three-year service obligation to practice as a full-time physician providing direct patient care to a patient population of at least 50% Medi-Cal or Healthy Families members including children under age of five (5) in Orange County.
