- Health Professions Education Foundation
Description: The Foundation provides scholarships and loan repayments to aspiring and practicing health professionals who agree to practice in a medically underserved area. Scholarships are offered to health professional students attending one of California's accredited colleges or universities. Loan repayment programs are offered to graduates pursuing a health professional career to assist in the repayment of educational debt.
- NHSC State Loan Repayment Program
Description: Authorizes repayment of educational loans to health professionals, who in turn must commit to practice in medically underserved areas in public or non-profit entities for a minimum of two years and maximum of four years.
U.S Department of Health and Human Services
Description: The Faculty Loan Repayment Program helps eligible health professions faculty from disadvantaged backgrounds to repay their student loans. The Faculty Loan Repayment Program provides as much as $20,000 a year to eligible faculty members who apply to and are selected to receive funding from the program in return for a 2-year service commitment.
