Gov. Schwarzenegger Announces State will Contract with Federal Government to Cover High-Risk, Uninsured Californians - 4/29/2010
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announcing his intention to contract with the federal government to operate a temporary health insurance program for currently uninsured individuals with preexisting medical conditions. The decision is based on the Secretary's assurances that 100 percent of the costs will be provided by the federal government for the duration of the program.
