
In this lesson, we'll walk through common user account maintenance tasks: changing a user's password and changing, unlocking, and inactivating a user account.
As discussed in Users and Their Roles in Module 2: Basics for All Users, only a UAA can access user account maintenance functions.
Before you can maintain a user account, you need to:
- Log on to MIRCal (see Accessing MIRCal in Module 2: Basics for All Users).
- Create a reporting profile (see Create a Reporting Profile in this module, Lesson 1).

By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
- View a user account
- Change the information in a user account
- Unlock a user account
- Change a user's password
- Inactivate a user account

In Lesson 1, Pam created a user account for Dave Young, a new director at CBT2. Now Pam needs to add Dave's fax number. Pam logs on to MIRCal and creates a reporting profile. That's where this lesson begins.
