MIRCal – Proposed Regulations

The Official 45 Day Public Comment Period for the Proposed Amendments to Patient Data Reporting Requirements is now open and documents are available for review. The material will be available for a minimum of 45 calendar days. The Public Comment Period begins Friday, August 25, 2017 and will end at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017.

We encourage your participation in the regulatory process. You are also encouraged to forward this information to anyone who may be interested in reviewing the documents. Any interested persons or his or her authorized representative may submit written comments, statements, arguments, or contentions relevant to the proposed regulatory action. All comments must include the author’s name, email address and U.S. Postal Service address. Public comments become part of the rulemaking file and may be publicly disclosed.

Comments must be received in writing by the Information Services Division of OSHPD by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017, which is the close of the comment period. Comments may be submitted by email, fax, or postal mail. If comments are sent via email or fax, there is no need to send the same comments by postal delivery. Email is preferred. Responses to comments will not be sent to individuals until the entire Rulemaking File has been approved by the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). OAL has 30 working days to review the Rulemaking File. Shortly after the OAL approval of the entire Rulemaking File, each commenter will be sent the link to the Final Statement of Reasons document posted on the website. This document will include all of the comments and all of the responses.
