Formal Submissions
A facility's data must be formally submitted and receive OSHPD approval by the report period due date.

The data will be approved if it is at or below the established Error Tolerance Level (ETL), which we'll discuss more in Lesson 2. Once the data is approved, it cannot be corrected.

If the data does not meet the ETL, it will be rejected. If it's rejected, the data must be corrected and resubmitted before the due date or the facility must apply for an extension. If you miss the due date, the data will be delinquent and the facility will be subject to penalties. (For details on extensions, penalties, and modifications, see current regulations.)

To increase the probability of your data being approved on your first formal data submission, you should first use the test submission option.
