In this lesson, we'll walk through changing a facility's contact assignments (Primary Contact, Secondary Contact, and Facility Administrator).
Contact assignments are specific to a data type. Your facility may have different contacts for Inpatient (IP), Emergency Department (ED), and Ambulatory Surgery (AS) data types.
As discussed in Users and Their Roles in Module 2: Basics for All Users, only a UAA can access user account maintenance functions.
Before you can assign contacts, you need to:
- Log on to MIRCal (see Accessing MIRCal in Module 2: Basics for All Users).
- Create a reporting profile (see Create a Reporting Profile in this module, Lesson 1). Make sure you select the correct data type for the contact assignments you want to make.

In Lesson 1, Pam created a user account for Dave, a new director at CBT2. Pam now needs to assign Dave as CBT2's Secondary Contact for IP. Pam logs on to MIRCal and creates a reporting profile, selecting the IP data type. That's where this lesson begins.
