When you Save with Validation, MIRCal immediately validates your entries for two types of errors: blank fields and invalid values. MIRCal will check for other types of errors when you submit your records.

If a record contains blanks or invalid entries, these errors are listed at the top of the Record Entry Form with the applicable Edit Flag in red so that you can correct the identified errors immediately.

You can click Save Without Validation to save the record without correcting it. However, it's more convenient to correct the record now rather than having to come back and correct it later.

In the example, Anne's record contains one error: an invalid date in the Principal Procedure Date field. Let's look at that field.
