Lesson 1: Adding User Accounts
In this lesson, we'll walk through creating a reporting profile and adding a user account.

As discussed in Users and Their Roles in Module 2: Basics for All Users, only a UAA can access user account maintenance functions.

Each facility can have a maximum of three active UAA accounts and seven active Facility User accounts.

Before you can add a user account, you need to log on to MIRCal (see Accessing MIRCal in Module 2: Basics for All Users).

Learning Objectives
By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:

  • Create a reporting profile
  • Create a user account (including entering user information, assigning roles, and assigning a user name and password)

Scenario
Pam is a UAA at CBT2, a large hospital in Central California. She needs to create a MIRCal user account for Dave, a new director at CBT2. Pam logs on to MIRCal, and that's where this lesson begins.
